Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Pennsylvania is seeking an Auto Body Technician to assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, ensuring speed, quality and customer satisfaction. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles and collaborate with teammates to meet KPI goals and maintain brand standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer out dents, apply filler resins when needed, and repair minor body damage.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass; repair interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
