Job summary
Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver top-tier customer experiences by accurately assessing and repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and refinish vehicles, while collaborating with teammates to meet KPIs and uphold brand standards.
The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
Qualifications
- Must read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
- Thorough understanding of methods to repair vehicle bodies.
- Strong familiarity with hand and power tools used in auto body repair.
- Ability to work with other repairers in a fast-paced shop.
Responsibilities
- Plan repair work and prepare customer estimates.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles.
- Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
- Replace or repair damaged parts and glass as needed.
- Weld, paint, and finish vehicles to factory or agreed standards.
- Ensure work orders stay within labor time guidelines.
