Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass, part of The Boyd Group, is seeking an Auto Body Technician to assess, repair, and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition, disassembling and reassembling parts while upholding speed, quality, and customer excellence. You will work with a team to ensure high standards in every repair.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship. Safety, lifting up to 30 pounds, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as auto body repairer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan repairs and prepare customer cost estimates; use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.
• Hammer dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields.
• Repair interior parts as needed.
• Weld and attach parts; prep and repaint vehicles to factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
