Gerber Collision & Glass in Morganton, NC is hiring an Auto Body Technician to deliver high-quality repairs and an exceptional customer experience. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition, working with the team to meet speed, quality and customer-excellence KPIs.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent; technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship; ability to read job orders and use common shop tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates using appropriate tools.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis/frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove/replace damaged sections; repair glass and interiors.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint to factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect repairs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
