Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Raleigh, NC, is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience through precise assessment and quality repair of vehicles, returning them to pre-accident condition.

You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, align chassis, replace parts and glass, and ensure work meets KPI targets while upholding our brand promise of speed, quality, and customer excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass or interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles to factory specifications.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect finished work.
