Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school completion or 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods and tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace or repair glass, interior parts, weld and paint as needed.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect finished vehicles.
