Gerber Collision & Glass in Kenner, LA, is seeking an Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition with precision and care. You will dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicles, realign frames, replace parts, and apply paint to finish high-quality results.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship, and the ability to read job orders and work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Experience with auto body repair tools and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and windshields with new or aftermarket parts.
• Weld, fit parts, and repaint vehicles per factory specs or equivalents.
• Ensure work orders are completed within labor time guidelines and inspect finished work.
