Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Kerrville, TX is seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to assess, repair, and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, and work closely with the team to hit KPIs while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The position requires 4-5 years of auto body repair experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of technical school or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Repairs dents and replaces damaged sections with parts; refinishs as needed.
• Realigns chassis and frames to repair structural damage; replaces glass.
• Welds and attaches parts; reapplies finish to meet specs.
• Completes work orders within labor time guidelines and inspects outcomes.
