Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Texas is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences by repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, supporting speed, quality and customer excellence across the team.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship. Strong knowledge of body repair methods and tool use, plus the ability to work with others, is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school program completion or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates; use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, pliers.
• Hammer dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with parts; repair glass as needed.
• Repair interior parts as required.
• Weld and attach parts; repaint vehicles to spec.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines; inspect post-repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
