Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Portland, OR is seeking an Auto Body Technician to assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble using a variety of tools, while driving speed, quality and customer excellence across all touchpoints.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, performing dent and frame work, replacing glass and interior parts, welding, painting prep, and inspecting completed work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of auto body repair methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates.
• Repair dents and body damage; apply filler resins.
• Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass; repair interior parts.
• Weld and fit parts; prep and repaint vehicles as needed.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines; inspect repairs.
