Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician in Oregon. The role involves repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition, disassembling/reassembling parts, and ensuring fast, quality service. You will work with the team to meet KPIs and uphold the WOW standard.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, using cutting tools, realigning frames, replacing parts, welding and repainting, and inspecting finished work for quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship required.
• Ability to read job orders with limited supervision.
• Ability to collaborate with other repairers in a shop.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods and tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Repair sections using cutting tools, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers.
• Hammer dents and apply fillers as needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repair glass as needed.
• Weld, fit parts, and repaint with factory specifications.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect each vehicle post-repair.
