Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to accurately assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars while maintaining speed, quality, and customer excellence.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and either a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair. Work includes using tools, painting, and ensuring safe, quality repairs in a busy shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship for auto body repair is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles using body tools and equipment.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage; replace or repair parts and glass as needed.
• Weld and fit parts, sand and repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles post-repair.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
