Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in the United States is seeking an Auto Body Technician who will deliver an exceptional customer experience by accurately assessing and repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You disassemble, repair, and reassemble, aligning with KPIs and representing the Boyd Group brand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Uses tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with new or aftermarket parts; replaces or repairs glass and windshields.
• Welds and reattaches parts and preps/repaints vehicles as needed.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
