Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Hudson, OH, is seeking an Auto Body Technician to assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, dismantle, repair, reassemble, and restore quality with speed and customer excellence.

You will read work orders, prepare cost estimates, use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers; straighten chassis, replace parts, weld, repaint, and verify repairs meet standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship is expected.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Solid understanding of shop safety and tool use.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute repair work, prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to original condition.
• Weld, patch, and repaint, replacing parts and glass as needed.
• Ensure repairs meet quality standards and job time guidelines.
• Inspect finished work and communicate with team to meet KPIs.
