Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while supporting speed, quality, and customer excellence as a Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group.

You will plan repairs, prepare estimates, use tools like cutting guns, plasma cutters and welders, and ensure work meets labor-time guidelines and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods for vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Disassembles, repairs and reassembles vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Plans repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Repairs dents using fillers when needed and hand tools.
• Realigns chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Welds, replaces parts and prepares/repaints vehicles to spec or equivalent.
