Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Dundalk, MD is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience by precisely assessing and repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while supporting the team's drive for speed, quality and customer excellence.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical schooling or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Thorough understanding of repair techniques and tools.
• Ability to safely operate shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
• Hammer out dents and apply fillers when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and windshields as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles per factory specs or equivalents.
• Ensure work orders are completed within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles to confirm correct repairs.
