Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to provide exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle assessment and quality repairs, restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts while aligning with team KPIs and brand standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods to repair vehicle bodies.
• Ability to use tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates.
• Repair sections of a vehicle using cutting tools, pliers, and hammers.
• Hammer out dents and apply fillers as needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass, interior parts, and paints.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair for quality control.
