Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass seeks an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience through meticulous vehicle repair. You will assess damage and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition, using tools and methods to ensure quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, estimating costs, replacing parts, repainting, welding, and inspecting finished work for accuracy. A technical education or apprenticeship is required, with safe, efficient work in a busy shop

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship required.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair vehicle bodies using cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts.
• Repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalents.
• Ensure work is completed within labor time guidelines and inspected for quality.
• Weld and fit parts as needed and perform related duties.
