Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through precise vehicle repair. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, driving speed, quality, and customer excellence across the shop.

You will work with a team to meet KPIs, using tools to repair bodies, replace parts, and repaint as needed. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and technical training or apprenticeship, with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year auto body apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with little supervision.
• Ability to work with others in an auto body shop.

Responsibilities

• Plan repairs and prepare cost estimates for customers using various tools.
• Hammer out dents, apply filler, and repair minor body damage.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass as needed.
• Weld, fit parts, and repaint vehicles to factory specs or approved equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect repairs.
