Gerber Collision & Glass in Illinois is hiring an Auto Body Technician to deliver top-quality repairs and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will thoroughly disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, while upholding speed, quality, and customer excellence.

Work with a team to meet KPIs, plan repairs, estimate costs, and use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, and welders. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of technical training or a 3-year

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently to support quality service.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair dents, replace or repair parts, and weld as needed.
• Realign chassis and inspect repairs for accuracy.
• Ensure work orders meet labor time guidelines.
