Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Illinois is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to repair vehicles to pre-accident condition with speed and quality. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, replace damaged parts, and ensure customer satisfaction through meticulous workmanship.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship. You will work with a team across the shop to meet KPIs and uphold our WOW standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames, replace damaged parts and glass as needed.
• Weld, fit, and repaint vehicles with factory-specified finish.
• Prepare cost estimates and ensure work orders meet time guidelines.
• Inspect completed work for quality and communicate with team.
