Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician to repair vehicles to pre-accident condition with precision. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars using a variety of tools, realign frames, replace parts, weld, and repaint to factory standards.

You’ll also ensure work orders are completed on time and vehicles pass final inspections. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or an apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship is preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of vehicle body repair methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles following procedures.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace or repair damaged parts and glass; perform welding and painting.
• Complete work orders within labor guidelines and inspect finished vehicles.
