Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Wisconsin is offering an entry-level Technician Development Program. You will work with experienced technicians, learning basic auto body repairs, dent removal, sanding, and painting, on a 30-day trial to qualify for an 18-month development track.

Ideal candidates are 18+, able to lift 50 lbs, and eager to learn in a collaborative team. The program emphasizes safety, hands-on learning, and long-term skill development within the automotive industry.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time in the repair of a vehicle.
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions.
Must be able to use hands efficiently in handling vehicle parts.
Strong interest in the automotive industry and a desire to learn and develop technical skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward learning and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Assist in performing basic auto body repairs under supervision of experienced technicians.
Learn to use and maintain tools and equipment safely.
Participate in vehicle inspections to identify damages and develop repair plans.
Collaborate with team members to complete repair projects on time and to quality standards.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
