Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Wisconsin is offering an entry-level Technician Development Program. You will work with experienced technicians, learning basic auto body repairs, dent removal, sanding, and painting, on a 30-day trial to qualify for an 18-month development track.

Ideal candidates are 18+, able to lift 50 lbs, and eager to learn in a collaborative team. The program emphasizes safety, hands-on learning, and long-term skill development within the automotive industry.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time in the repair of a vehicle.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to use hands efficiently in handling vehicle parts.
  • Strong interest in the automotive industry and a desire to learn and develop technical skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward learning and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing basic auto body repairs under supervision of experienced technicians.
  • Learn to use and maintain tools and equipment safely.
  • Participate in vehicle inspections to identify damages and develop repair plans.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete repair projects on time and to quality standards.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
