Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District seeks a Special Education Teacher - Autism for the PACE program to guide students with autism through modified instruction and behavioral supports. You will implement individualized strategies aligned with IEPs and collaborate with families and staff to monitor progress.

The role requires strong knowledge of autism interventions, data collection, and de‑escalation techniques, along with the ability to lift and assist students as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or Teaching Certificate from out of state appropriate for position.
• ESL Certification required during 1st year if it has not already been obtained.
• Certification must meet requirements for becoming and remain qualified for this position in a manner required by Federal and/or State law.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the district's philosophy of instruction and develop lesson plans.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations/modifications for different learning styles.
• Develop/write students' IEPs and align with standards.
• Maintain data related to student goals and progress in the curriculum.
• Collaborate with parents and school staff to support learner needs.
• Attend required meetings and complete reports.
• Follow district policies and safety procedures.
