Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher Assistant - Autism to support students and teachers in the Autism program and general education classes. The role reports to the Building Principal and requires working non-exempt as a paraprofessional.

Qualifications include 48 college hours or a high school diploma with district assessment and Educational Aide Certification. Duties cover instructional support, student records, and ongoing professional development

• Minimum of 48 college hours or high school diploma/equivalent plus pass a District Assessment
• Educational Aide Certification

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Texas Education Agency and district policies and procedures.
• Assist in carrying out the instructional program under the supervision of the teaching personnel.
• Follow teacher instruction and guidance.
• Assist with teacher planned activities, exercises and drills.
• Assist in maintaining student records.
• Participate in planned in-service and professional growth activities related to Autism and other topics.
• Perform other duties as required.
