Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District seeks a Special Education Teacher – Autism (CUBS) to lead instructional programs and guidance for students needing special education services. The role reports to the building principal and is classified as professional, exempt, with 188 days per year.

The teacher will develop lesson plans aligned with TEA guidelines, create and monitor IEP goals, and collaborate with parents and staff to support student growth and development in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and valid Texas teaching certificate.
• ESL certification required within first year if not already obtained.
• Certification must meet federal and state requirements.
• Knowledge of structured teaching strategies for autism and behavior interventions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lessons meeting curriculum requirements with written evidence of preparation.
• Prepare lessons for diverse learning styles per TEA guidelines and policies.
• Develop and write students’ IEPs with appropriate goals and objectives.
• Monitor and adjust instructional objectives based on student progress and data.
