Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• Must have a valid Texas Teacher Certificate appropriate for the position.
• Knowledge of effective instructional practices for students with severe developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet district curriculum requirements.
• Assist in developing/writing students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Create classroom environment conducive to learning and manage student behavior.

Skills

Knowledge of structured teaching strategies specific to students with Autism

Proficient in developing behavior intervention plans

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to work effectively with both adults and children

Education
