Qualifications

• Assist students and teachers in the special education Autism program.
• Participate in planned in-service and professional growth activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining student records.
• Follow teacher instruction and guidance.
• Adhere to Texas Education Agency and district policies.

Skills

Ability to work with children using appropriate interpersonal skills

Background related to working with children and parents

Physical capacity to lift, transfer and assist students with disabilities

Fluent in English (speaking and writing)

Knowledge regarding Autism preferred

Bus driver training as needed

Education

Minimum of 48 college hours or high school diploma/equivalent
