Job summary

Trellis School in Sparks, MD is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our therapy team. This school-based position focuses on delivering OT services under IEPs and Treatment Plans to students from pre-K through 12th grade.

The OT will document progress, develop annual goals, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and provide staff and family education on therapy approaches and how they support learning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Eligible for Maryland OT license.
• Experience with children with autism preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English required.
• Minimum 6 months full-time field experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct OT services per IEP and Treatment Plan.
• Maintain accurate therapy records and progress data.
• Develop annual IEPs and treatment plans for students receiving OT services.
• Develop supplementary materials aligned with treatment goals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support student outcomes.
• Conduct staff and family education on OT and its relation to learning.
• Participate in IEP meetings and parent progress meetings.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state mandates and local policies.
• Use formal/informal assessment tools to inform practice.
• Maintain therapy spaces and materials.
