Strides Therapy & Educational Services in Bel Air, MD is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist to support students' fine motor, sensory, and functional development within the school setting. You will assess, plan, and implement OT services in collaboration with teachers and families, aiming to improve participation and independence in classroom activities.

The role requires MD OT licensure, masters or doctorate in OT, and experience in pediatric or school-based OT.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Maryland state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Educator Certificate (if applicable).
• Experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with students, parents, educators, and staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a diverse caseload.
• Dedication to culturally competent and student-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' OT needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based OT interventions to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and school-based team to support student participation in classroom activities.
• Monitor and document progress, adapting treatment plans as needed for optimal outcomes.
• Provide guidance to parents, teachers, and staff on strategies to enhance fine motor skills and sensory regulation.
• Maintain records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.
• Stay current with research, best practices, and techniques in pediatric OT.
• Participate in IEP meetings and school-based professional development.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards.
