Job summary

The Trellis School in Sparks, MD is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our therapy team and support students from pre-K to 12th grade. You will provide OT services, document progress, and participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to advance student outcomes.

Applicants should have a Master’s in Occupational Therapy and be eligible for licensure in Maryland. Autism experience is preferred; strong communication and documentation skills are essential for success in this

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• OT license eligible or license in good standing required.
• Experience with children with autism preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum 6 months full-time field experience.
• Knowledge of special education principles helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct OT services per IEP or Treatment Plan.
• Maintain accurate OT records and therapy logs.
• Develop annual IEPs and treatment plans.
• Create supplementary documents and materials for goals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team.
• Provide training to staff and families on OT concepts.
• Attend IEP/parent meetings and contribute to progress reporting.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state mandates and policies.
• Demonstrate competency with formal and informal assessment tools.
• Maintain therapy spaces and Materials.
