Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services in Maryland is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist to support students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional development within schools. Coordinate with teachers and families, conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and participate in IEP meetings while maintaining accurate records and staying current with pediatric OT best practices.

Qualifications

• MD state licensure as an Occupational Therapist or eligibility.
• Experience in pediatric or school-based OT is highly desirable.
• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based OT interventions to improve fine motor and sensory skills.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to support classroom participation.
• Monitor progress and adapt plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Attend IEP and school meetings and stay current with pediatric OT best practices.
• Maintain accurate records including session notes and billing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and ethical standards for school-based OT.
