Job summary

Sheppard Pratt School in Lanham is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide a full range of OT services in a nonpublic special education day school serving ages 5-21. You will assess students, develop individualized therapy plans, and collaborate with parents, school staff and providers to support learning and health.

The role requires a Master’s in OT, Maryland licensure, and current OT knowledge, with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8am–4pm, in-person work and a competitive pay range based on

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Active Maryland State Occupational Therapy License.
• Current knowledge of OT theory.

Responsibilities

• Identifying, assessing, diagnosing, and treating students to develop individualized therapy plans.
• Promoting availability for learning, and physical and mental health well-being.
• Overseeing and supporting the development and delivery of related staff training programs.
• Meeting with parents/caregivers, school representatives, and other stakeholders as needed to discuss student progress and therapy plans.
• Documenting and maintaining accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Education

Master’s degree in occupational therapy
