Job summary

Centria Autism in Oregon is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism through one-on-one intervention under a BCBA guidance. You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

No prior experience is required as comprehensive training is provided. The role involves physical activity and lifting up to 50 pounds; you must be able to stand, walk, sit, bend and squat as part of daily

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans using evidence-based techniques.
• Help children develop communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
