Job summary

Spring Branch ISD is seeking a Special Education Teacher Assistant – Autism at Memorial Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves assisting students and teachers in the special education Autism program and general education classes.

The ideal candidate will have at least 48 college hours or a high school diploma, along with an Educational Aide Certification. Strong interpersonal skills and knowledge about Autism are preferred. Responsibilities include following teacher guidance and maintaining student records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college hours or high school diploma/equivalent plus pass a District Assessment.
• Educational Aide Certification.
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing).

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out the instructional program under the supervision of the teaching personnel.
• Follow teacher instruction and guidance.
• Assist with maintaining student records.

Skills

Ability to work with children using appropriate interpersonal skills

Background related to working with children and parents

Fluent in English (speaking and writing)

Knowledge regarding Autism preferred
