Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District seeks a Special Education Teacher Assistant – Autism (APPLE) to support students in the special education Autism program and general education classes. You will work under the Building Principal and assist teachers in delivering instructional activities.

Requirements include 48 college hours or a high school diploma with district assessment, plus Educational Aide Certification.

Qualifications

• Requires 48 college hours or high school diploma/equivalent plus pass a District Assessment.
• Educational Aide Certification is required.
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Texas Education Agency and district policies and procedures.
• Assist in carrying out the instructional program under the supervision of the teaching personnel.
• Follow teacher instruction and guidance.
• Assist with teacher‑planned activities, exercises and drills.
• Maintain student records.
• Participate in planned in‑service and professional growth activities related to Autism and other topics.
• Perform other duties as required.
