Job summary

Spring Branch ISD is seeking a Special Education Teacher Assistant – Autism (CUBS) to support students and teachers in autism and general education settings. You will follow TEA and district policies and assist with instructional activities and student records.

The candidate should have 48 college hours or a high school diploma with district assessment plus Educational Aide Certification; fluency in English is required, bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college hours or high school diploma/equivalent plus pass a District Assessment.
• Educational Aide Certification.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written). Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and teachers in the special education Autism (CUBS) program and general education classes.
• Follow Texas Education Agency and district policies and procedures.
• Assist in carrying out the instructional program under supervision of teaching personnel.
• Maintain student records and a daily log of information about the student and activities.
• Assist with planned activities, exercises and drills and support self-help skills.
• Provide direct support to students with disabilities as indicated in IEPs and participate in IEP-related tasks.
