Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism by implementing individualized intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA. You will help teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training; no prior experience required. Responsibilities include moving and assisting children safely; physical activity is part of the job. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $29.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Requires a passion for helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age and high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and a TB test; pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Support one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills; reduce interfering behaviors.
• May need to stand, walk, sit, bend, lift, and move children or objects up to 50 pounds.
