Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children who have autism. Training will be provided, and you will implement individualized behavior plans under a BCBA supervision to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

You should be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team. The role requires physical stamina, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and a commitment to safely supporting children throughout daily activities.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, stand, bend, lift).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children using evidence-based techniques.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Maintain safety and support during activities and routines.
