Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum. Under the supervision of a BCBA, you’ll implement individualized behavioral plans to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

The role emphasizes teamwork, ongoing training, and physical stamina to support active children. Training is provided, and candidates must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Collaborate with a team and participate in ongoing training.
• Move and assist children safely as needed during activities.
