Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior plans under a BCBA’s guidance.

Using evidence-based techniques, you’ll teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors and supporting families. Training is provided to empower you, even with no prior experience.

Qualifications

• Patience, compassionate and able to work well in a team.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.) and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Background check required prior to employment.
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification required after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with BCBA and care team to reduce interfering behaviors.
• Support families and empower each child’s progress.
