Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to join a team supporting children with autism. You will work one-on-one with kids, implementing individualized plans under a BCBA, using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing problematic behaviors.

Candidates should be patient and team-oriented; comprehensive training is provided, and prior experience is welcomed but not required.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a preemployment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of onboarding requirements

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Help reduce interfering behaviors while supporting child development.
• Be patient, collaborative, and able to adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Complete onboarding and trainings to provide high-quality care.
