Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as Behavior Technicians in Grand Rapids, MI. You will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior plans under a BCBA’s guidance to improve communication, social, and daily living skills.

You’ll receive comprehensive training and join a dedicated team focused on positive outcomes for children with autism. The role involves physical activity and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed, with pay range $17-$20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion when working with children with autism.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and TB test.
• Background check required.
• Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under BCBA guidance to implement behavior plans.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Ensure safety and monitor interactions during activities.
• Be patient, supportive, and able to adapt to each child’s needs.
