Job summary

Centria Autism seeks Behavior Technicians in Grand Rapids, MI to support children with autism under BCBA supervision. You will work one-on-one to implement intervention plans and teach essential skills using evidence-based methods.

No prior experience required; comprehensive training is provided. Candidates should be patient, compassionate, and able to physically assist children weighing up to 50 pounds. Pay range: $17 - $20.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under BCBA guidance.
• Implement individualized behavior plans.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviors.
• Ensure safety and assist with movement as needed.
