Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one under the supervision of a BCBA, applying evidence-based techniques to improve communication, social, and daily living skills while minimizing challenging behaviours.

We provide comprehensive training and a supportive team environment. The role requires physical activity and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with a pay rate of $19–$25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and TB test (if not done in the last year).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one behavior intervention under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans and monitor progress.
• Contribute to a safe and supportive environment for children and families.
