Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized plans under a BCBA supervision. You’ll use evidence-based methods to foster communication, social and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training so you can contribute from day one. Expect physical activity and a supportive team environment; pay ranges from $19 to $24 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Must be patient and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and a TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must obtain RBT Certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one intervention with children under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Reduce interfering behaviors and track progress.
