Job summary

Centria Autism in Detroit, MI is seeking Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one under a BCBA, applying evidence-based techniques to build communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors. No prior experience required; comprehensive training is provided.

Candidates should be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team. 18+ with a high school diploma or GED; CPR/First Aid and TB test; background check; ability

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Candidates must obtain an Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans using evidence-based techniques
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors
• Be patient, supportive, and collaborative with families and team members
