Job summary

Centria Autism in Michigan seeks a dedicated Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum. You will implement individualized plans under a BCBA and teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

Training is provided; no prior experience required. The role involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a team to support children and families through meaningful daily impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification and TB test (within last year) required.
• Background check required.
• Able to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Work one-on-one with children and ensure safety.
