Centria Autism in Michigan seeks motivated Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized plans under a BCBA. You will help teach communication, social, and daily living skills in a supportive environment.

No prior experience required—comprehensive training is provided to help you grow. You should be patient, compassionate, and able to stand and assist during activities that may involve lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Assist under the guidance of a BCBA to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Use evidence-based techniques to reduce interfering behaviors.
• Provide a safe, supportive environment and communicate progress with the team.
• Perform duties as described with flexibility and dedication.
