Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking a Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work one-on-one with children with autism under the supervision of a BCBA. You will help teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based methods.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patience, and a passion for helping children reach their full potential. Training is provided and candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification and a TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with BCBA and team to implement behavior plans.
• Maintain safety and comfort of children during activities.
• Support families and provide meaningful progress updates.
